Description

  • + No Electronics (Please ask for LCL quote if shipping electronics).
  • + Maximum weight - 60 LBS. Additional weight beyond 60 LBS will be chargeable at $2/LBS.
  • + Maximum box dimensions 18*18*28 (5 CFT), Double walled boxes highly recommended.
  • + Pickup can be done with 48 hours notice subject to acceptance of this quote.
  • + FedEx will pick up your package(s) and deliver to our warehouse. We will provide labels.
  • + Pickup will be from your door. Driver will not enter inside the residence.
  • + Do not shrink wrap the boxes as shrink wrapping creates problems in X ray scanners
  • + Pickup will happen anytime between 8 AM and 6 PM on scheduled pickup date.
  • + If you do not wish to wait for the pickup then you may drop the package(s) at your nearestFedEx
  • + Authorized Ship Center after applying the labels provided by us.
  • + Payment is due upon receipt of our invoice, which will be emailed in 2 – 4 weeks after pickup.
  • + Estimated door to door transit time is 3 months. Online tracking will be provided once package is loaded

Carrier Liability, Terms & Conditions, Rights & Responsibilities

Our Liability: Universal Relocations, is only liable for loss or damage to any package that is expressly stated in the household goods descriptive inventory and as may occur while your shipment is in our physical possession. Our maximum liability for such loss or damage is limited to an amount not exceeding $0.60 (sixty cents) per pound package. We are not liable for loss or damage that may occur after the shipment leaves our physical possession. An optional extended protection plan for your household goods, personal effects and automobiles moving by land, sea and/or air is available subject to your application, acceptance, payment of premiums and compliance with the terms and conditions of our 3rd party insurance underwriter at least 4 days prior to the pickup of your shipment. Universal Relocations, LLC does recommend that you purchase an extended protection plan for your shipment.

Terms & Conditions:: Universal Relocations, is only liable for loss or damage to any package that is expressly stated in the All services proposed will be undertaken subject to our terms & conditions which are incorporated herein by reference and available upon request. The scope of services to be performed by Universal Relocations, and its agents is limited to the execution of only those services expressly stated in this document.

Your Rights And Responsibilities

  • 1. Our House Bill of Lading is the title to your cargo.
  • 2. All charges including premiums for an extended protection plan if elected are due upon receipt of invoice after pickup and must be paid in full by check, cash or money orde
  • 3. By signing this contract you agree that our Household Goods Descriptive Inventory is the official document that contains the pickup date, delivery date, quantity and description of your packages shipped and received
  • 4. You agree to denote damages to items during packing or loading at origin in our Household Goods Descriptive Inventory prior to signing and dating at origin
  • 5. You agree to denote any missing or damaged packages along with your signature upon delivery of your shipment in our Household Goods Descriptive Inventory prior to signing and dating at destination.
  • 6. In the event that your shipment is not delivered in whole you agree to submit your claim in writing to us within 90 days after pickup. We will attempt to locate and deliver your shipment within two weeks of receiving your written claim. If we are unable to locate your shipment in two weeks and if you have purchased an extended protection plan with us, we will file a claim with the insurance company during the third week. If you have not purchased an extended protection plan or if your claim is denied by the insurance company and if the shipment was lost when in our physical possession, we will compensate you per our liability stated above which is sixty cents per pound package
  • 7. In the event that your shipment is delivered in part or in case of any damages you agree to submit your claim in writing to us within 7 days after delivery. You agree to denote the missing / damaged packages in our Household Goods Descriptive Inventory during delivery. Upon receipt of your written claim and if you have purchased an All Risk insurance extended protection plan with us we will file a claim with the insurance company. If you have not purchased All Risk Insurance or if your insurance claim is denied by the insurance company and if the packages were lost or damaged when in our physical possession, we will compensate you as per our liability stated above which is sixty cents per pound package.

  • + De-stuffing, Opening & Repacking during Customs Inspection, Single Strapping on each box after Customs Examination & Loading, Concor charges
  • + Delivery to your residence, unloading up to 2ndfloor or above with elevator access.
  • + Unloading, unpacking and debris removal on day of delivery
  • - Packing Charges @ $2/Cft subject to a minimum charge of $200 (incl. labor & materials for packing)
  • - Insurance premium (Please refer to Page 2 for more details)
  • - Palletizing is done for the protection of your cargo and adds 10% - 30% to the volume of your shipment. Please factor this into your calculation. Cannot be estimated until actual measurements are done.
  • - Customs Duty/Port charges – Payable in India (At actuals)
  • - Taxes/Octroi/Union/ detention & demurrage charges/Port congestion charges if applicable, at actuals & receiptable in India
  • -Long carry (More than 50 feet from door) and stair carry charges beyond one flight of stairs (Let us know if you have no elevator)
  • -Preparing Inventory / Valued Packing List and Carton Labels unless we pack your shipment. (We will provide instructions if you pack)
  • -Crating, Piano, Pool table Handling charges
