It all started with one man and a truck, and a dream.
In 1998 I started Universal Relocations at the age of 22 with a single truck and my lifelong dream of working for myself. I rented a little office and began helping people to relocate their belongings when they had to move because of a job, family, or other reasons. I knew that moving is an emotional experience for many people, and that their possessions were important to them. I took pride in helping people to move their possessions with care, sensitivity, and promptness.
Because of my dedication to doing the best job for my customers, my business expanded. Customers referred me to their friends and family, and soon I had to hire more employees and use a fleet of trucks.
In time I started moving customers to and from the U.S. At first I outsourced the work to an agency, but I quickly realized that I could not give my customers the personal attention they needed without opening my own office in the U.S.
So, in 2010 I established my corporate headquarters in New Jersey, and also opened a branch office in Georgia. In 2015 I expanded further, opening an office in Texas and California. In the following years the company has grown even more: we now have 170 employees in Five offices in India ( Bangalore , Chennai ,Hyderabad, Delhi and Mumbai )and Four in the U.S.
We’ve come a long way from one man and a truck. We are now not only a relocation specialist company, but we are a domestic and international conglomerate, relocating customers to more than 150 countries worldwide.
I am proud of what our company has accomplished. We have taken the anxiety out of the relocation experience for thousands of individuals and families around the world, helping them to move the precious parts of their lives from one place to another. When I look forward to the future, I see even more growth for our privately held company. We are branding ourselves throughout all the major cities in the U.S., from New York to Los Angeles, as a company customers can trust to handle their move with care.
This amazing story would not have been possible without the hard work of my management team and all of the employees in our many locations. I am proud of our team, and I look forward to helping even more customers with the transitions in their lives in the coming years.
